Got it Covered.

Not for the first time this year I was asked if one of my photographs could be used for a magazine. This time it was for the Winter Issue of the Wainwright Societies Quarterly Magazine "Footsteps". Of course I was more than happy to oblige, I'm a keen supporter of the Society not only for its promotion of the work of Wainwright but also of the great work that the group does in raising money for good causes.

Followers of the Blog may recall that earlier this year I mentioned the Wainwright Society Calendar 2012 which I am now pleased to say has completely sold out and has raised a substantial amount of money for the Calvert Trust.

March 2012?

I have just had a copy of a 2012 calendar land on the doormat, well I suppose we are over halfway through the year and people are thinking about 2012 already. The 2012 Wainwright Society Calendar is produced to help raise money for good causes and hopefully the new copy will do the same.
I was fortunate enough to have one of my photos selected for inclusion in the calendar, a view of the High Stile Ridge from near Grey Knotts.

Calendar Prints

Back in December as I wrote on this blog came the news that the sales of the Wainwright Society Calendar for 2011 had raised £9,000 for Mountain Rescue through a complete sell-out of the print run. Members of the society had their photographs used to illustrate the calendar and I was fortunate enough to have two of my images featured.
With the calendars now unavailable I have decided to try and continue the fund-raising for such worthy cause. So on sales of both the relevant images I will be donating 20% of the price to the MRT. This will apply to all sales of the two photographs large, small, print only or mounted. Even framed copies sold via the gallery will have the donation made.
The two images are shown below and more information will be posted on the website shortly.

Wainwright Society Calendar

I was really pleased to see that the Wainwright Society Calendar for 2011 has now sold out, raising £9000 for the MRT. http://www.wainwright.org.uk/calendar/index.html
Of course I was pretty chuffed when earlier in the year two of my photographs were selected to be used as part of the calendar.

Well done to all the team at the Wainwright Society for getting the calendar produced and sold.
